We're thrilled to announce the grand opening of the Auditory Processing Center at the Center for Hearing and Communication (CHC) in New York. This is a vital new resource for children struggling with listening, learning and auditory challenges.

Lois Kam Heymann, M.A., CCC-SLP, author and leading authority on Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), serves as Director of the Auditory Processing Center. We're delighted to have Lois on board bringing with her more than 30 years of experience. With support from a team of skilled audiologists, speech-language pathologists and counselors, Lois will help your child realize his/her full potential.

You are invited to visit our Open House October 7, 2010 when Lois will be available to answer questions and sign copies of her book, The Sound of Hope: Recognizing, Coping with and Treating Your Child’s Auditory Processing Disorder. Also scheduled to appear is entertainer Rosie O'Donnell, author of the book's foreword in which she shares her experience working with Lois after her own son was diagnosed with APD. Phone (917) 303-7809 to learn more about the Open House which takes place 4:30-6:00pm at CHC"s New York office at 50 Broadway, 6th floor.

Parents, teachers and administrators are encouraged to contact us at (917) 305-7809 to learn more about APD and the array of clinical services now available at CHC's Auditory Processing Center. Click here to download an APD fact sheet.
