Nora Elish, First Program Director at The Dalton School, wrote us recently to say that, "good hearing is one component of good learning." It's a thoughtful and an insightful observation shared just days after our mobile audiology unit conducted an on-site hearing screening for their students.
The Dalton School recognizes that hearing loss, even a mild one, can hinder a child's ability to learn and succeed in school. That's why each year Dalton partners with the Center for Hearing and Communication (CHC) to bring hearing health care to their student community.
CHC invites other private preschools and elementary schools in New York City to contact us at (917) 305-7751 for information about our student hearing screening program. It's an important step toward ensuring that any child with a hearing loss receives the support they need to achieve their full potential.
