College Students Support Group

Transitioning from high school to college can present many challenges. It can be even more difficult if you are Deaf or hard of hearing. Whether you are adjusting to college life, life away from parents, navigating the office of disabilities, learning what technology and support is available to you in the classroom or dorm room, it can be quite daunting.

Here at the Center for Hearing and Comunication we offer semester-long support groups where you can connect to others going through the same experience. You will learn new strategies for independence and gain emotional support that will help your success in your college career. There will be two groups per semester — one for hard of hearing individuals and one for Deaf sign language users.

This group is made possible in part by the generous support of The Durst Family Foundation.
